1. Scope

1.1 These General Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of Let's Join ("Let's Join", "we", "our", "us"), available worldwide via letsjoin.app and our mobile application. The operator is identified in our Imprint (Impressum).

1.2 Let's Join operates a website at letsjoin.app and a mobile application ("Platform") that allows users ("Users", "you") to discover, create, and join spontaneous in-real-life hangouts ("Plans" or "Events") with other users. Let's Join is not a dating service, matchmaking platform, or escort service.

1.3 These Terms govern the relationship between you and Let's Join regarding use of the Platform. Offline meetings occur directly between users; Let's Join facilitates discovery, coordination, and trust signals — not the physical meetup itself.

2. Subject matter

2.1 Let's Join provides technology that lets users post public or private plans, RSVP, chat in event context, and build reputation through participation. We do not organize, operate, or guarantee the quality of any offline hangout.

2.2 Users who create plans ("Inviters") and users who join them ("Participants") enter into social arrangements with each other. Let's Join is not a party to those arrangements except as Platform operator.

3. Eligibility and accounts

3.1 You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding contract to use Let's Join. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older.

3.2 You sign in with email (one-time codes) or other methods we support. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for all activity under your account.

3.3 You must provide accurate profile information and not impersonate others. We may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.

4. User conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use Let's Join for dating solicitation, romantic spam, commercial advertising, or multi-level marketing.
  • Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or endanger other users.
  • Post illegal, deceptive, or harmful content or plans.
  • Circumvent blocks, bans, or safety features.
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the Platform without permission.
  • Meet in unsafe private locations when a public venue is reasonable.

Repeated no-shows, abusive behaviour, or reports confirmed by moderation may affect your trust score, visibility, or account status.

5. Plans, RSVPs, and chat

5.1 Inviters set capacity, time, and location. Participants commit to honour RSVPs in good faith. Last-minute cancellations harm the community and may affect reliability metrics.

5.2 Event-scoped chat is for coordination related to a plan you host or attend. There are no cold direct messages outside that context.

5.3 We may remove plans or content that violate law, these Terms, or community safety standards without prior notice.

6. Fees

Let's Join is currently free for consumers. We may introduce optional paid features in the future with clear notice. Any paid features will be subject to additional terms shown at purchase.

7. Content and intellectual property

7.1 You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, text, plan descriptions). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and moderate that content to operate and improve the Platform.

7.2 Let's Join branding, software, and website design are owned by Let's Join or licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without written consent.

8. Safety and offline meetings

8.1 Let's Join shows trust signals (profile completeness, reliability, reports) but does not conduct criminal background checks on users. You meet others at your own risk.

8.2 You are solely responsible for your safety offline. Prefer public venues, tell someone where you are going, and leave if you feel unsafe. See our Safety page for guidance.

8.3 Report concerns in-app or email hello@letsjoin.app. We may investigate and take action including warnings, suspensions, or bans.

9. Liability

9.1 Let's Join is not liable for the conduct of users offline, the quality of any hangout, or third-party venues or services.

9.2 We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties, limited to foreseeable typical damage.

9.3 In all other cases, our liability is limited to the total amount you paid Let's Join in the twelve (12) months before the claim (typically zero, as the consumer app is free).

9.4 We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of enjoyment, profit, data, or opportunity, to the extent permitted by law.

9.5 The Platform is provided "as is" subject to mandatory consumer rights under German and EU law.

10. Data protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and our Privacy Policy . By using Let's Join you acknowledge that policy.

11. Service changes and termination

11.1 We may update features, supported cities, or these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance unless prohibited by law.

11.2 You may delete your account in the app. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect users and the Platform.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence may also apply.

The exclusive place of jurisdiction for merchants and for users with no general jurisdiction in Germany is Berlin, Germany.

13. Final provisions

If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced by one that closest reflects the original intent.
